Good News From Tough-Talking Local Police Chief

“If you commit a crime of any type, we’ll arrest you.”
This is the tough message sent out by Smithfield’s new police chief, Superintendent Pule when he briefed Smiffie on the success local police have had in December.

Our Visible Police Force

The increased visible police presence in Smithfield has been most noticeable over the past couple of weeks. Regular foot patrols have been out on the streets, while police vehicles, often travelling in pairs, have made themselves very visible, day after day.

Smithfield Geysers Now Set For Power Saving

Work on the installation of twin heater elements and demand control units in more than 200 hot water geysers in Smithfield was completed on December 11. Eskom is to report back on the consequent saving of electricity.
